We are an NHBC registered builder which means your home is covered by a 10 year
guarantee called a Buildmark Warranty.
There are various safeguards which this gives you
- If we the builder cease trading half way through building a house for you NHBC
will finish it off for you or compensate you in lieu.
- If a major structural fault appears within the 10 years you can claim on the
policy, even if the builder has ceased trading.
- The property is inspected regularly by NHBC staff during its construction to check
for good building practice.
- A set of rules on good building practice must be followed by the builder.
We have been NHBC registered builders since 1965. To date there has never been
a claim on any of the properties we have built.
Be aware that there is a common misconception
about the 10 year NHBC warranty. It does not in fact cover
everything for 10 years. Many parts of the building are
guaranteed for 2 years, for instance the electrics and plumbing.
Only major structural failure is covered for the whole 10 years. NHBC
can advise on any specific questions you have about what is covered for how
long.
We try to look after our customers well. If
something goes wrong we will always try to help.
